Dr. Hutchinson has been treating adults and children in Pittsburgh’s South Hills for over 25 years. She knows that depression and anxiety are often obstacles to person becoming one's best self, and that recovery requires changes in thinking, behavior, and sometimes biology. Her clinical work, primarily in psychiatric diagnosis and treatment with medications, is informed by her psychodynamic and family systems training. Dr. Hutchinson also teaches family practice residents and medical students and works with local organizations to improve the quality of health care.
Dr. Hutchinson is a graduate of Northwestern University and Northwestern University Medical School.
She was part of a highly selective accelerated program combining Bachelor of Science and MD studies in six years.
She completed her medical internship and general psychiatry residency at George Washington Hospital. She then completed a two year fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Children's National Medical Center, where she also served as Chief Resident.
